I'm trying hard not to tell people that those are clearly Matchbox.

Some people will understand this.

With all these hotwheel/matchbox posts, I'm hesitant to bring up the fact that I have burned and crushed in table vices more cars than I can count. Sorry fellas.

No way, bro. Not in my cereal. Never in my cereal.

Matchbox and Hot Wheels are both made by Mattel. So they are from the same company. They just handle different types of cars.

I used to like to crush them with a rock.

I like both but there's way more Hotwheels selection at the stores around me than matchbox, so most of my collection is comprised of Hotwheels.

That was one of the stranger episodes we have encountered. On one hand, I have been pedantic enough, and in a bad enough mood to end up on the other end of those arguments, on the other hand though... I've never done it on a major website.

And just like the horn and armrest, SR20, pelicans, and countless other occasions. We have our own cultural references to differentiate us from everyone else. LOL.

My buddy and I used to bury them in fires we would make, then pull them out and poke sticks through the metal. It was pretty awesome that we got the metal so hot we could just poke right through it. HAHA!

Yeah, it ranks right up there. I almost miss that guy trolling every post.

His progeny/alter-ego/whatever seems to be doing well so we've got that.

Iiiiiiinteresting. What's the defining line between both types? Matchbox had a few more real-world cars, IIRC, and Hot Wheels did more crazypants custom ones.

Essentially, Matchbox tends to tackle more real world cars, like the Cadillac CTS Wagon, or a F-150 without any crazy decals. These cars tend to be a bit more accurate looking with better attention to detail. Their own "custom" designs are more adventure and service vehicle oriented, as opposed to Hot Wheels, which has crazy prototype cars and ridiculous stuff to send around the orange tracks. Hot Wheels real-world cars tend to be performance and racing based.

Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule...
